bluefly's fly eyes on eyefly

Last week, Bluefly.com launched their brand spankin' new eyewear boutique, Eyefly.com, and of course, a party was held to celebrate the new site. Everyone there was excited that Nicky Hilton was among attendees, but luckily, the most important another Niki (meeeee!) was also creeping around the party.

I loved the simplicity yet creativity of the party's setting, which was designed by Art Director/Set Designer Andrea Huelse. The space featured a chalk mural of people wearing eyeglasses shown on the wall upon entrance and a chandelier made out of actual glasses hung over the bar, which featured delicious cocktails by Kanon Organic Vodka (I enjoyed one, two, or maybe a few).

There were walls of Eyefly glasses for people to try on and another wall had projected four-eyed photos of familiar faces from the fashion world (alliteration, what!) shot by the infamous Tommy Ton, including Editorial Director Mickey Boardman and Stylist Dani Stahl (both pictured above).

L-R: David Thielebeule, Mickey Boardman, Melissa Payner, Nicky Hilton & Bradford Matson.

L: Justin from Tucked Style. You can read his post on the event and spot my cameo here.
R: Emily from People's Revolution, wearing a gorgeous dress from Mara Hoffman's Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

About Eyefly.com:
Eyefly
.com offers us bespectacled folk a new way to shop for men’s and women’s designer prescription eyewear starting at only $99. Through an intuitive and interactive boutique experience, Eyefly users can simply upload a photo of themselves and virtually try on multiple frames. Eyefly's use of FittingBox technology allows the user to see exactly how the frames would look on them, plus, share photos with friends via Facebook and e-mail to get their advice.

  6. Chanel may be known for its timeless designs, but with the introduction of the Chanel 2.55 Chanel brings us a line that is both seductive and a slight change of pace. Unmistakably different, Chanel classic strays from the quilted Chanel Evening Bags we have come to expect from the brand.
