superedgyfierce haute editorial

Last week I was invited down to Mavi's Vancouver flagship to check out their latest (I'll share more in an upcoming denim feature) and choose a pair of jeans for my lucky ol' self. The staff at Mavi was so helpful and awesome and I absolutely love the jeans I went home with -- a "super comf" (remember Nevan from The City?), ultra dark wash, trouser style flare (the Alissa). Naturally, I wanted to do an outfit post with my brand new jeans, so I took some tips from my favourite style bloggers. Insert edgy setting (train tracks, check!), squatting poses, "candid" moments and a good dose of nonchalance.

The moral of the story: I'm an asshat and I love my new jeans. Thanks Mavi!

  17. Such a great outfit! And Mavi jeans ARE good, they're the only pair I have from my youth (years and years ago) that have still maintained their shape and quality. Love how you styled this with the turquoise, stripes, and headband.

  21. I'm not normally a fan of flared jeans, but the dark wash and the way they fit make them look very classy. And you wear them well. Also I'm all for edgy train track shoots. What, doesn't everyone like to crouch down and pose in their new outfits on the train tracks? ;-)

  22. great jeans and great head wrap. i'm so jealous you can find the perfect pair of flares so easily - I have to hem everything and it ruins the flares

  23. I LOVE your jeans! I bought the same jeans (but different brand name) the other day and I tried it on with a couple of outfits, they all made me look older... Do you think you could do a post on how to wear flare jeans without looking too old? :)
