maison martin margiela:

An alliterative name that can send any fashion-lover's heart aflutter. Margiela shoes are always a favourite of mine, so how could I resist a quick perusal when I saw MMM SS11 shoes for sale on Shopbop?

As per usual, they do not disappoint. Except, um...

No!

NO!

Why? Why! Why $875 for ankle boots that look like hooves and/or lady parts in ill-fitting pants? Ah well. You can't win 'em all. Unless we start taking bets as to how long it takes for SJP to snap up this season's pair...

PS. Have you entered my latest giveaway? You can win 2 Essie nail polishes courtesy of GlowingBeauty.ca. To enter, visit A Haute Mess on Facebook and tell me what your favourite Essie polish colours are on my wall. It's that simple! Good luck!

  4. Hahaha omg, I know! I call those ones the camel toes! The rest of the collection is fabulous...not sure why they would ruin it with such a fail.

  9. Not a fan of the camel toe boots, but the other ones are great! The first light suede ones are so pretty, they'd look so good in Spring.

  10. I love them all but the camel toe!! You made me giggle..haha

  11. For $875 you'd think they'd make a shoe less fugly. You'd also expect them to make the shoe a different colour. Maybe something not along the lines of a skin colour?

I hope the person who owns these finds another use for them. I'll help them out and propose an Idea: slipping your credit card inbetween the slot, then lift up your leg to hand the sales assoicated the card. Hhahaahahah I'm so lame. Okay. They're just plain ugly. That is all.

  26. I kind of like the tabi ankle boots. They look like the footwear fishermen wear when they wade through shallow reef and stuff. LOL, but you're right, I would probably never wear them!
