elle turkey gives us a lesson in maxi skirts

Furs, knits and prints -- now that's how you wear a maxi-skirt! Ana Zalewska and Karolin Machova in the December issue of Elle Turkey, photographed by Senol Altun and styled by Melis Agazat. This is such a beautiful editorial, from styling and photography to the incredible setting. How are North American magazines supposed to compete with this?

  7. I've always been back and forth on the maxi-skirt. I tend to vear towards above-the-knee and mini skirts. But I have to say this spread really does a give a glam impression to the maxi. My fav photo is the 6th photo down with the long knit sweater and floral skirt! Maybe I do need to give it a try..

  9. Totally irrelevant, but I laughed so hard at your last post. "Greetings from the happiest place on earth" (insert wtf face). Haha omg Niki you're the best. I love how you play around on your blog. So charismatic.

Back on topic, Elle Turkey gives us a great lesson on maxi skirts. They look gorgeous. The shots are beautiful. But unfortunately we're not all 5'10, skinny as a stick w/ pretty bedhair. I'm 5ft, these maxi skirts would look like a table cloth on me. Maybe publications should start doing editorials for non-modelesque girls. I'm just jealous. No biggie.

Anyway, hope you're having fun on your trip! Cover your eyes when you see douchebags dressed in Ed Hardy and True Religions. You've probably seen enough here in Vancouver. ;)

  11. Oh yes, eradicate the Armenian population and then let the Armenian churches in Eastern Turkey crumble and go to ruins, and then use someone's sanctity to do fashion shoots. Of course it is amazing. I'm just speechless. Way to go, Turkey.
