To my dearest Uncle Karl,

Let's be honest here: people are hating on the Chanel yeti suits. I want to let you know that I'm not. In fact, I think I like them. Why? Because beneath all your eccentricities, above your decrepit digestive system and somewhere close to your black heart, lies a sense of humor. You're in on the joke. And I get it. And I like it. And I love you even more for it. And you know what else? The rest of the collection rocks. It really really does.

I can't wait to see what you've got in store for Spring 2011. See you in September!

  3. I have to say, whilst these don't exactly zoom to the top of my fall/winter lust list (unlike Burberry Prorsum's DIVINE aviator jackets), I kind of agree with you. Karl is having a joke at the fashion world's expense and quite frankly he can. He's KARL LAGERFIELD for chirst's sake, he can do whatever he wants!... and the rest of the collection is lovely as always so more than makes up for these yeti-esque monstrosities. X

  4. It's been a long time since I've seen models who look this fluffy and cuddly.

  5. Haha, I have to admit that I was shocked, but it is great that he doesn't take it too seriously. And I agree that the rest of the collection was great.

    Have a great weekend Niki!

  9. I get it too. I really don't expect him to think that someone would wear it for real. Also I like the word Yeti.

  11. I think they are so weird, but I would wear one. Just because looking like a Yeti can be fun.
