What I Wore: Jacqueline Conoir FW10 Show

A couple of weeks ago I attended a fashion show for the Jacqueline Conoir FW10 Collection. JC Studio asked people to dress up (well they tweeted to dress up). In the real world, this outfit wouldn't cut it. But in Vancouver, among a sea of skinny jeans and boyfriend blazers, this is dressed UP. Although I stuck out like a sore thumb (aka a 5'8" girl in 5" heels) I was wearing a lot of my favourite things, was with Peter aka the Starving Stylist who I love to death, had plenty of free champagne and got to see a show - so take that Vancouver, your casual ways can't bring me down.

Vintage dress, Christian Louboutin heels, DIY shoe chains.

I was also wearing a moto jacket and carrying a black chain-mail clutch, not pictured. To read my review of the Jacqueline Conoir FW10 Collection for Beyond Robson, click here.

  3. You look fantastic! Love that vintage red dress with the puffy sleeves, pleated wrap-around look on top and the detail at hop level. It's gorgeous, looks soft, and is complimented beatifully with the thin black belt and Christian Louboutin 5" heels. Complete with the chain-mail clutch you would have stood out like a star and a goddess, not a sore thumb. Had i seen you in person dresssed like that i'm sure i would have swooned and managed to put my foot in my mouth hoping forlornly to try to pick you up. You look absolutely gorgeous dressed like that. (i love tall women too, as i'm tall myself). Wow, do you look great!

  11. Beautiful dress! Sometimes I quite like to get dressed up, even if I know no one else will be going all out. Love the fact you decided to wear a bold red! And those DIY chains on the Louboutins are a perfect touch!

  13. Love the dress - it has an awesome 80s, dynasty-era feel to it, but it looks fresh at the same time. Maybe it's the length? Anyways, you look fabulous!
