My favourite things about the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics

Seeing the torch relay

The torch eventually becoming the Olympic cauldron!

The red mittens! Worn by just about everyone. Maple leaf nips not included.

Seeing Team Canada women's hockey play Slovakia...

and seeing Team Canada win BIG!

The thousands...

...and thousands of people downtown at any given time.

The pyro and laser shows at Robson Square (literally the middle of downtown) every night. And the free concerts of course!

Seeing Team Canada men's curling play. Like our women's hockey team, they also won gold. I'm obviously good luck, it's no big deal.

Going to the figure skating practice sessions,

and later partying with a ton of them! Post event, of course. Canadian figure skating legend Brian Orser on the left and current Canadian men's champion Patrick Chan on the right. As an ex-figure skater this was probably my Olympic highlight. And if Christian Louboutin starts making figure skates I may just back to make a comeback.
