Meet iWardrobe, aka The Coolest iPhone App yet.

A bold statement, especially coming from a Blackberry user, but if you're reading this blog and using an iPhone it's definitely something you'll be interested in. I met the creator at an event a couple of weeks ago, and demanded (politely requested) that he develop something for Blackberry users too.

It's called iWardrobe and essentially it's a wardrobe and fashion management system. iPhone users simply photograph and catalogue articles of clothing and accessories from their personal wardrobes, which can later be mixed and matched to plan out an outfit or just to see how certain pieces may look together. But the fun doesn't end there - an upcoming 2.0 verson of iWardrobe will include more interactive features to allow sharing tips on styling or fashion trends.

If you've ever seen the Memo pad on my phone, you'd understand why I'm so excited about this app. I've got my fingers crossed that one comes out for Blackberry or I eventually can be trusted not to break an iPhone, whichever happens first.

A demonstration video iWardrobe can be found HERE. iWardrobe can be purchased on iTunes for $2.99, and a "lite" trial version is available for free.

  1. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for this weekend in human form. So it would be awesome if it was on my BlackBerry (don't use an iPhone either)! I definitely need someone to come shopping with me and let me know what I need to keep in my closet.

  2. This is quite possibly the closest approximation to Cher's wardrobe-coordinating software in Clueless that I've ever seen. Neat!

Re. Lash Blast mascara: Thanks for the recommendation! I was actually a devoted Lash Blast user for most of last year and quite pleased with it overall. The Sephora sampler pack and all the mascara product reviews I've been doing are just for the sake of curiosity. After I use up all the mascaras in the sampler, I might go back to Lash Blast or start using Hourglass Superficial Lash (which I really like)--I can't decide yet.

  5. This is like Clueless for the digital world! I, too am a religious bb user but this is too good. Perhaps I'll convince my sister to dl this app on her iphone, and house my entire wardrobe for me. Not sure if she'll go for the idea, but I need this app in my life!

  17. Woww that's an awesome app! It would take forever categorizing your clothes though but I'll definitely go it. I wish my iPod Touch had a camera so I can use it on that.

I would never give up my Blackberry though. =P

  25. The best iphone app for 2010 so far for me is FastMall by MindSmack.com. Turn by turn guidance at the mall, find the bathroom quick and be taken to it, get deals, remember where you park, check in at the mall and stores, full community of features. So much fun :) http://www.FastMall.com
