Heidi Montag Plastic Surgery Extravaganza

Now for a break in our regular programming: I'd like to address Heidi Montag's horrifying new look. Twitterers, you knew this was coming.

1. First things first: last time I checked there was a major disaster severely affecting our fellow humans. But no that's cool, we shouldn't worry about the people in Haiti right, we should just be grateful that our lives are so good Heidi Montag's insecurities are our biggest concern.

2. Remember when People magazine would have covered an issue like the disaster in Haiti and featured the people down there doing whatever they can to help? Clearly not anymore. It seems like its transition to tabloidism just happened overnight.

3. Heidi. Seriously? You went from a pretty girl, to a plastic girl, to tranny-face Playboy-bunny Barbie. Enough is enough! You're 23 and you already look like Kim from The Real Housewives of Altanta and I'm pretty sure she's 100 and half-robot.

4. "Addicted to Plastic Surgery: 10 Procedures in one day" with the inside pages titled "Obsessed with Perfection" or something like that. This girl is not only on MTV but on The Hills, prime television smut for impressionable young girls and even young women. What type of example is she setting? It's hard to believe but there are people who look up to her. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against cosmetic surgery, and I do think it's a person's perogative to go there or not. But in this particular case, I think the message being sent is outrageous considering her fans and viewership.

5. The underlying issues here and insecurities are painfully obvious. If there's someone out there who actually gives a crap about this girl, please get her some help, stat.

For Heidi's and her surgeon's perspective, see video here. Hm.. I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure it doesn't say "DDD" and "wreck patients face" anywhere in the Hippocratic Oath. But a good one to think about for next time might be "Psych consult."

  4. she looked so cute and classy in the 1st season of the hills, always wearing pearls and stuff. and then she just started to get so plastic and look so generic and fake :(

  12. I feel so bad for this girl, this is obviously a cry for help. Apparently, even stupid face Spencer begged her not to do it. Where are her parents, her friends? Oh wait, they probably are so screwed up they think this is normal too.

  13. the troubling part is the fact that a doctor agreed to this surgery monstrosity. its simply unfortunate.

  14. Amen and Amen. I feel sorry for her. She needs a a friend and a hug. And you are sooooo right...She made the cover when there is probably the worst natural disaster of this decade happening as we speak!

  15. My husband and I both stared at that article for a good five minutes with our mouths hanging open. It was horrifying...I mean, I support her right to choose, but she was so beautiful pre-hills. I feel sad that she doesn't know that.

  16. THis is so gross, ugh she couldnt even talk normally at an interview

  17. Oh, poor girl. She must have some problems if she is transforming herself like this.

  18. lol @ "tranny faced barbie" so funny you did a post about this! i was just about to do one but now that you did it i don't think it's necessary anymore :) her new face freaks me out, she looks like a 42 year old post-op tranny.

  19. She went from pretty to scary!!!! I'm not against cosmetic surgery, but Heidi is going to far!!!!!!! And she's only 23!
I agree with everything in your post!

  20. She looks about 10 years older now, and like a failed, washed-up porn star. Great job!

    ReplyDelete
  21. She used to be cute, even after her nose job and boob job she still looked pretty and reasonably natural. I totally agree with your "tranny face Playboy bunny barbie" assessment. She's aged herself about 20 years.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I agree with you, that girl has always been a mess

    ReplyDelete
  23. ooh... this is really aweful. She was a natural beauty... what went wrong there?

  24. As much as we like making fun of the media circus that is HeidiAndSpencer, she is sending out a very dangerous message to girls out there. She has admitted to having low self esteem and buckling under the pressure to be part of the 'perfect' modelesque Hollywood scene. Heidi is sending out a message that if you're not happy with yourself...than you should go ahead and spend money to change yourself. And it was such a life threatening procedure too

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh you're so right about this, she looks so generic now. Its not her fault I guess though, she's just caught up in the culture much like Kim of the Real Housewives...

  26. omg...i was reading that yesterday and i was reading it... i feel somewhat very bad for her.. i feel like shes losing herself.. she looked natural and pretty before.. i just feel like she never gave herself a chance to grow or change(physically)naturally.. shes way too young for this..
i guess thats what happen when you can't handle fame probably?!..it could kinda destroy you..

    xo

  27. omg i think my jaw literally dropped open when i read this. you're right though, she definitely was a pretty girl the way she was. so unfortunate that she had to take away from her natural beauty

  28. she looked so much better before!

  29. not sure if you saw yet, but on twitter @glamcanadamag said something along the lines of "who cares about her surgery? i don't get it. it's not like she's a role model". Shocking.

    Great minds think alike!! =)

  30. it's sad when someone alters the natural beauty to conform to someone else's idea of perfection. she really is a not-so-wonderful example for all the young girls watching The Hills. i also think its even sadder when the target of today's media circulates around something like this when there are many more important things to concentrate on...

by the way, this is the first time i've checked out your blog, and i really like it! keep up the good work!

    ReplyDelete
  31. no kidding!
huh, she's so brave to have a surgery in a just a day.

    ReplyDelete
  32. niki - i couldn't have said it better myself. I definitely agree 100% with you. The amount of attention she gets is sickening. The only thing I know is that SHE is going to pay the physical, mental and spiritual consequences of destroying herself. - Natalya of Wear Necessities

  33. Eeek, just watched the GMA interview - she was such a cute girl back in the day! Hope you have a fabulous weekend! xo, mel

  34. That girl is such a train wreck. I'm not one to usually say things like this, but wouldn't the world be a better place without her and her hideous husband?

    ReplyDelete
  35. I agree with all the points. 10 surgeries at once is sooo ridiculous and she proudly said she nearly died like that's not a big deal...I wonder if she still recognizes herself in the mirror

    ReplyDelete
  36. 10 procedures in a DAY?! total trash. i feel bad for her.

    ReplyDelete
  37. that is terrifying! and she was so adorable on the first season of the hills.

  38. Oh man, she kind of creeps me out with all her plastic surgeries. Natural is so much better! I get that she grew up insecure, but still-find a different method of pumping up that self-esteem!

  40. I am new to your blog and I am already ready for more haute mess. Heidi on the other hand is a hot mess kind of like a train wreck you cannot stop watching. She is such a pretty girl and look at what they have done to her..and we wonder why as women we have insecurity issues. We wonder why when kindergarteners are asked whether they would rather lose a parent or be fat...they say lose a parent. AWFUL.

AUGH...But I am really glad that you posted about it. I a new follower and I am really looking forward to following your blog. It is always great to meet new bloggers!

  49. I can understand body parts, but the face? She's so young. Still hasn't developed all the way. I feel like she was beautiful when she was on the first season of the hills and would get better with age. I wonder if this is all Spencer's doing?

    Anyway, Have a Sunday Funday:D

  50. So so ridiculous. It's as if she ran out of other cries for attention. It's even more ridiculous that Spencer didn't intervene. Ugh.

  53. WOW this is really an issue.. on so many levels.. The poor girl has deep rooted issues that go far deeper than any needle could. What's sad is that a doctor would even do these procedures on a girl who is 23 and they would publish this on a cover of PEOPLE. CRAZY!!!

  54. Addiction to plastic surgery may be very dangerous and it even cause the worst thing ever happened to you. I think plastic surgery is a necessity in your medical emergency.
