Poppy

by Coach. A new line of shoes, bags, accessories and more with vibrant patterns and lower price points. In my opinion it seems Coach has slipped off the luxury brand radar; there's a Coach store in almost every shopping mall now! I think that Poppy only lessens the idea that Coach is a luxury brand - remember when it used to be Coach Leatherware and it was known and respected for it's quality leathers and craftsmanship? Poppy seems to be a bit on the tacky side. Anyway, my thoughts aside, what do you think about the new line?

Yay or nay?

  1. Nay. Coach is so overdone. Too many people own Coach which makes it loose its appeal. People should buy their stuff because they like it, not because its Coach. Haha. Rant.

  2. Well soooooo many people own LV and other designers so its not that, I once bought a coach bag, small messenger style in suede-unfortuantely mold destroyed it-twas cute but never been a coach girl. That black and white jacket pictured above I would totally rock.

  3. NAY. I fucking hate Coach, almost as much as I hate Ed Hardy.

    XOXO,

  5. nicht nicht as Bruno would say. i was never a fan of their logo print bag, but i respected their plain leather goods with the Coach insignia. now this is borderline "they need to fire whoever they hired". if it goes on like this, they need to cut down their prices.

  8. Yay to the blazer and the black bow front flats. I'm all about classic pieces. I'm so over crazy cartoonish prints.

  10. ahh i was never really into coach- there are some nice plain leather bags, but the monogram ones are just waaaay overdone...i would never get one! hahaha that being said, i did just get this pair of purple shoes with the stupid monogram! for some reason it doesn't bother me on them! maybe because they were almost free and i like the idea of purple shoes...plus everyone is see isn't wearing them! thats enough coach for me!

  14. At first glance I didn't even notice it was coach. The only thing that catches my attention here is the lovely jacket.
It seems to me as if they are targeting younger consumers with those prints and colors.

  17. First of all amazing blog! i like it a lot..secondly I definitely agree with you on Coach falling off the luxury brand radar. Its almost becoming so commercial now being in practically every mall but i STILL love and appreciate their products! Check out my blog and follow if you like..i always return the favor ;-)

  18. i admit, i have a coach wristlet and i love it (cheaper and equally cute alternative to gucc), but i do agree that coach have lost some of its prestige and is much more mass appeal.

im no longer coveting a coach tote simply becos for $400 its not worth having the same bag as every 3rd girl on campus.

this collection (aside from that wristlet) is very very tragic. i feel like im looking at a target ad
